Love It or Leave It: The Little Pink Card

I just came across this handy dandy tool that could make life a whole lot easier for the men out there! It's called The Little Pink Card, and it's a one-stop place for women to jot down important dates (anniversary and birthday) and her likes (favorite flower, designer, store, candy, etc.) so the man in her life knows exactly what to buy her, and when. It's designed to fit right inside his wallet for easy access! So what do you think — do you love this pretty cheat-sheet, or would you leave it?

my husband and I don't give each other many gifts because we're broke, but if I was dating or married to someone with a lot of money to burn, I'd totally give them this! (It would just make my husband feel bad that he couldn't go out and buy me things)

    aww lawchick..
I would suggest instead of things he could buy put down things that are free. Like a walk on the beach one night, picnic at the park, hand picked flowers, ect. Something small but showing that he was thinking about you. I love it when my hubby does those things. In fact those are the things I'd put on that little card!

One time we were driving in the city and we stopped at a red light and next to us were planted some tulips (knowing that they are one of my faves) he ran out of the car and picked pulled out two for me! I thought it was the sweetest thing!

lawchick: my boy and I make a bunch of stuff for each other too, he ALWAYS makes me a card for our anniversary or a birthday..if it feels so nice to have him sit down and make me something that I would be secretly upset if he actually purchased a card one day lol

    i find this so weird
men aren't as stupid as you think they are
and when you coddle them like this, they will do things like get you the same kind of flower every single time and buy you nothing but the one kind of perfume you have listed until you have 6 bottles sitting on your dresser
let them use their imagination. that way you can be happy and impressed when he actually gets you something special and remembers and important date, and you won't feel like you've essentially asked for it.

Actually it's ME that needs this for him! He's the perfect gift giver and always gets me stuff that I didn't even realize I mentioned and I'm the one always scrambling to find something he would like!!

My husband needs one BAD. Or maybe one of those wedding rings that BURNS YOU when an important date is coming up - have you seen those??

It's my birthday this week - and a couple weeks ago someone mentioned that it was coming up, and he blanched and said, I thought your birthday was in February? Which has to be at least the 20th time he's mixed up my birthday (Nov 19) with his ex's (Feb 22).

I think I know more about her than he does about me.

House of Fraser were giving these things away the other day so I picked one up and filled it in. It's still sat here on the table. Sticking out tongue I'll sneak it into his wallet at some point.

    Haha! This is funny...

I would *hope* that my guy could remember at least SOME of this stuff without using a cheat sheet!

It also might get annoying after a while...what if he keeps on getting you the SAME things because the cheat sheet is all he knows?! How mundane and uncreative.

I like it! I'd like one for my partner (If I had one)

The only thing I would change is... what guy wants a bright pink card in his wallet? I think it should be understated black or dark brown or something, so he's not embarrassed carrying it around in his wallet.

If my boyfriend was carrying that around, my first thought would be 'whipped'. LOLI know, such double standards - I like the idea, just not the execution.

And, I would def. carry one of those around. Not just for my bf but for close friends. Perfect for birthdays and christmas when I'm busy and need some ideas.

I'm sorry, but if I have to BUY something to GIVE my husband to TELL HIM what kind of flowers/jewelery/perfume/etc I like so he can just pull out the cheat sheet and put absolutely no thought into the gift whatsoever, then I don't want it. I'd rather him get me nothing, and just go to the store and buy something myself with however much he would have spent. The point of a gift is the thoughtfulness, not the material object in and of itself. I'd rather him go and look through the flowers and buy something that he thinks I'll like, or that reminds him of me, rather than just whip out a little card with zero thoughts that tells him what to get. I actually put creativity and thought into my gifts for him (and often, we gift each other with TIME which is most valuable in a long-distance marriage), and I expect him to do the same.

    I'm with skigurl.

Yeah, when we act like men are stupid, they take advantage of it and use that as an excuse for just being lazy. They can think and remember stuff just as well as we can (women)...we just usually try harder than they do b/c we think it's more important. So all they need to do is try for once.

I would be offended if my man needed this to remember things like that. He better love me enough to remember a few little things about me! I remember his what he likes, I would like him to do the same for me.

My father has carried his own version of this for over 30 years. He updates them with the last presents or store he shopped at for presents since he has gotten my mom the same things over and over again.

My father has never needed anything like this. He always remembers the important dates. Also, while my mother suggests things she would like; he always finds something she didn't expect but ends up loving. That's what I want. If he needs a reminder, why can't he make up his own cheat sheet?
